Black and White Sunday

We have been out exploring our Brooklyn neighborhood again. The trees are glorious. The sky reveals whispers of clouds. Mom is constantly exclaiming something enthusiastic about a maple or an oak. Or sycamore.

We think it is an oak

We think it is an oak

We are always investigating. Our noses lead us to places that mom cannot follow.

Why do we have to wear our sweaters?

Why do we have to wear our sweaters?

But wait, mom says she might go to a greyhound adoption event tomorrow. Eegaddds!!!!!

Will mom try to find another hound like me? -Matilda's spirit (sorry about the green)

I don’t think you will have to look to far or hard. There is another little lost soul out there that will soon find you. That is what Matilda would want, that will be her legacy. I know exactly how you are feeling. It’ the only way that Matilda can continue her journey. Hugs,

There will never be another Matilda, but there may be another greyhound to share your mom’s love.

  3. looks like you have some beauty all around you!

I hope you went to the greyhound adoption event!
You never know where or how the next one will enter your life.

Well Lee, I didn’t get there. I’m keeping up with what happened with each of the dogs via their Facebook page. Some are still available and in foster homes, or in the prison foster program. (see Greyhound Friends of NJ website for info on that). I am planning on going to the GFNJ holiday Crafts Fair at the end of November, and there will be some greyhounds for adoption there.

  5. How sweet. I’m sorry to hear that Matilda’s moved on. She looked like a lovely grey. Looks like you may have a handful with those lil’ terriers however….

    • Terry Cramer says:

Thanks Kate and Scooter. Yes they are a handful, but Rat Terriers have an off button. When they come inside, they’re *fairly* calm. Then at night, they just like to cuddle really close to you for the night.
