This N’ That Thursday Thanksgiving Edition: Happy Thanksgivukkah

TNT Thanksgiving1

We are participating in a Blog Hop hosted by  2 Brown Dawgs and Ruckus the Eskie. It is This N’ That Thursday Thanksgivng Edition.                                            Click here to enter. Be sure to visit both their blogs to thank them, and hop along to others as well.

Today one thing we are thinking about is Chanukkah, and how funny it is that it falls on the same day as Thanksgiving this year. I’m told that it won’t happen again for another seventy thousand years! I’m wondering if our planet will be around in seventy thousand years. It makes one feel small.

Kessie and Livvie are getting ready to say the blessings over the candles. Their Hebrew is coming along nicely, even if their chanting is a bit howly.

Somehow, in the midst of this holiday symbolizing miracles, Kes has become solarized!

Now he is cartoonified!

"Mom, why am I cartoonified?"

“Mom, why am I cartoonified?”

And finally, anyone who is anywhere near the Westfield, New Jersey area should really take a little jaunt to the Westfield Armory to go to the  Greyhound Friends of New Jersey Rescue Group’s Crafts Show and Pet Expo. The group is amazing and heroic. It’s where we adopted Matilda from, and it takes place this Saturday and Sunday. I will be checking out a few greyhounds who will be present in the adoption room. Will I return home with a greyhound or a signed adoption contract? Stay tuned to find out……

It takes place on Saturday, Nov 30th 9am- 5pm, and Sunday, Dec 1st  9am-4pm at the Westfield, NJ Armory,  500 Rahway Avenue.

Thanks! We will keep you informed. I have three little girls as possibilities. One looks a bit like Flattery! The other two are brindles, one with an angelic face. Well, we’re off to New Jersey where I will see Livvie’s best doggie friend. Don’t know if I can do it yet though.

When we decided to do a special hop, I did not realize they fell on the same day. Kinda bummed because we could have made a combo hop. Doubt TNT will be around in 70,000 years…lol. Love the pictures…so cute!

Thanks Linda and 2 brown dogs. Sorry you didn’t get to participate, and now have to wait another 70,000 years. Isn’t that just the ultimate in patience? That is one long sit-stay!
