Introducing Mommie

Introducing Mommie

Hi, I’m Livvie the Rat Terrier, and I’m going to introduce you to my mom, who blogs sometimes, but a lot of the time, lets me blog. Originally this was Matilda’s blog, but she went OTRB and turned the blog over to us. Mom has been trying really hard to get a pic of the three of us.  I am way too fast, and most of the time I won’t pose. Mom has this habit of making funny faces when photos are taken of her. We decided to put droll, somewhat blurry pics on so that we could participate and not feel left out.  Mom is a silly, silly person (in a good way), so keep that in mind! Also, she wants me to say that she has freckles, so those little spots are not blemishes! When she was a kid, they were really cute. This is a blog hop, hosted by a group of bloggers. You can find out how to enter at Bringing Up Bella. Thank you to the bloggers who hosted. Bringing up Bella wrote such a beautiful post about it. You can see a picture of her with her first puppy.  You can grab the badge and find out what the questions are too.

So, let’s let mom answer the questions.

What’s one thing you have to do every day?

I must read. It can be anything from mystery novels (Have you tried Susan Conant’s books about Malamutes? You have to!) to books about string theory by Michio Kaku. I’m not saying I understand those books entirely! Right now I’m reading a book by Joseph Wilson, the diplomat whose wife Valerie Plame was exposed as a CIA agent a number of years ago.

What do you wish you were more skilled at?

Oh my dog! So many things. Dog training, for one! WordPress and using a camera, numbers two and three. How about speaking another language or two, including American Sign Language?  The list goes on. Not that I have given up. I will learn more, will learn more, will….

What makes you feel fabulous ?

Quite simple things. Going to an amazing play, poetry reading, concert, or dance performance with great friends and eating a tasty meal afterward with inspiring authentic heartfelt conversation. Cuddling with my pups. Writing a blog post about a ten year old blind dog, and the dog getting adopted immediately.

How are your pets most like you?

We are loving, compassionate and extremely curious beings! Also always comical.

Believe it or not, I am a psychotherapist. I am practicing in the New York City area. Click here for my psychotherapy website.

I agree with you that a day without reading is…a day without reading, from Russian novels that I think I can never finish and am sad when I do to Susan Conant’s mysteries with Malamutes which make me glad I have Poodles and Chihuahuas in my own life.

I don’t do string theory though and it’s great to meet someone who does..

  2. This was completely delightful and i think you look great! You are a psychotherapist? You would have a FIELD DAY analyzing my Mom! Barks and licks and love, Dakota

Yes, so they would probably recognize each other! Especially if they were carrying Flat Emma and Flat Livvie. But wait, are you going to go with your mom in May?

Really enjoyed reading your post – it’s been fun to see how many bloggers are avid readers and hear what kind of books they enjoy. So glad you joined us on the hop, and I’m sorry it took me so long to stop by!
