Adopt Paul A Lovable Cairn Terrier

Please consider adopting Paul, a lovable Cairn terrier! Paul is not unknown to Matilda’s Journey. In December he graced the pages of this blog, and we appealed to all you Cairn enthusiasts to meet him, and see if you might become his forever home! Today we do an update on this little charmer, in the hope that his dream of a forever home will be realized. His foster mom says that “every day Paul shows more love in his eyes. His tail never stops.” His foster mom thinks that he is an exceptional dog, and wants a home for him so badly. She can’t stress enough how smart and engaging he is.

Talk to me!

Talk to me!

You may remember that he was named for Paul Newman, and was used for many years as a breeding dog.  He came to Col. Potter Cairn Rescue after living many years with his love, Joanne, another Cairn. Like his namesake, Paul Newman, he is extremely handsome, and also very  friendly. His foster mom is so impressed with who he is as a personality.

Aren't I sweet?

Aren’t I sweet?

Paul’s love, Joanne, has an adoption pending now. Lets find Paul that great home as well. After all those years of discomfort, Paul is now safe and sound and loved, and enjoying the good health that he has after a severe mouth infection. Yes, Paul is 13. Cairns live a long time. Consider being a person who adopts an older dog and makes the difference to that dog. Those of us who have, are never disappointed.  Contact me in the comments section if you want to  get a good perspective on adopting an older dog! See Paul’s profile HERE. When you read his foster mom’s words, I think you will be quite moved.  Why not fill out an adoption application as well. By the way, Col. Potter will help you problem-solve about transporting him to your town if you are not in Virginia, where Paul is being fostered.

Please love me!

Please love me!

Again, his foster mom: “He’s a lot of love in a small 10.6 package. He’s always at the ready to be petted and to hear some kind words. Paul’s an eager crate-goer, and sleeps there at night. He loves toys and has the energy of a much younger dog. He walks nicely on leash, and travels well.”
