Matilda continues to improve little by little. She ate peanut butter and kibble on a spoon! Her new lollipop. Or is it lollypop? Her morning meds were administered, and included an anti-nausea medication. That seemed to help. She is cheerier and more relaxed. I was even greeted at the door this evening when I arrived home. In fact, she sprinted at top speed.
She’s still panting quite a lot. We have the AC going at full throttle, and that helps. I am worried about her feeding in about half an hour, because she seems disinterested in the food again, and the anti-nausea medication is only to be taken once a day.
Thanks for being so understanding! Matilda sends her love to all.
Awww… she’s giving the, “Oh mom, do I have to?” face. Poor sweet one. Did she have her last chemo yet? This infection has been a real setback. Really, really wish she wasn’t having to deal with it right now, of all times.
Many hugs and prayers, Matilda.
Matilda is doing much better. She seems to be recovering from the abscess. It was looked at today by the vets, and they are pleased that it is healing well. She didn’t get her last chemo, but might next week, or when the vets feel that she is up to it.
It’s lollipUp! Hugs, Matilda!
You said it! Thanks for visiting us. I love your blog! It makes me want to write again.
Good — do write again!
Aww, what a sweetie! Have you tried adding in a little low sodium chicken broth to her food? Sometimes that helps with ours who don’t want to eat.
Thanks for the suggestion. Somehow today she is going out of her mind for the kibble peanut butter lollipop! She ate well today!
