This is a Blog Hop that I discovered through Sugar the Golden Retriever. {This Moment}See Beautiful happens every second Friday of the month. It invites you to create a blog post that shows how your day/week/month/moment was an inspiration for you to see beauty in a unique, profound way. The Blog Hop was created by See Beauty, and you can enter there or through Sugar the Golden Retriever.
After losing our precious Matilda on October 5th, Livvie and Kessie and I decided to take some long walks in our Brooklyn neighborhood. We wanted to luxuriate in the temperate autumn weather and colors, and to almost taste the beautiful. We discovered some amazing Maple leaves whose sole goal in life seemed to be making Livvie and Kessie look more adorable.
We found a canopy of leaves that made us feel safe and at the same time dazzled.
Our friends, the sycamores, were coming to life as the characters they can be. I just know they sing at night, and these are two members of their chorus.
We re-visited our amazing friend, and got a little closer. We feel that Matilda led us to her that first day we found her. Does anyone want to help us name her?
I do enjoy walking on crunchy leaves too. Oh What a FUN to meet that “mysterious friend.” Happy Seeing Beauty. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
Happy Seeing Beauty to you too. And now, as the sun sets, mom is off to synagogue to see some more Shabbat beauty. Lots of Rat Terriers boingy snuggles!
Love the fall trees!
Thanks!
I’m sorry for your recent loss of Matilda. You are so right to be out appreciating the beauty of nature again. I can’t think of a good name for your Mysterious Friend but feel she should have an Aztec or Mayan source…
Thanks Amy. That sounds right!
I could look at fall colors all year, I seriously wish they lasted all year!
Me too. We went out today again, and there are still some beautiful colors!
We are so sorry to read about your loss and we are so thankful for the way you’re purposefully seeking beautiful during this time. It was, in part, out of sadness that we started See Beautiful. As for the beautiful sculpture…perhaps the name is Hope. It looks like it’s giving hope. Perhaps hope for seeing beautiful in all things and less pain as you move forward.
Thank you so much for commenting, Lydia. We really admire you. I met someone connected with the sculpture! She was created as a welcoming gesture. I am going to get in touch with the creator! It did help me a lot to take the walk keeping in mind the terrific {This Moment} See Beautiful concept.
