I don’t think it’s possible to turn away from this little Cairn boy being fostered in Missouri. His inspiring story can be found on his Intake Story page.
Now that you’ve read about his odyssey from a gigantic commercial breeding facility to a wonderful Col. Potter foster home, you will hear about his sweet personality. He’s a cuddle bug, and will stay in your lap for hours, wagging his tail. His needs are so simple. He’s happy to have a crate with soft bedding, the warmth of being indoors, having a full tummy, and affection from people. He loves to take a sock from the laundry basket to his dog bed or crate to cuddle with, so he can enjoy the scent of his people! Quixote gets along with the dogs he’s living with at his foster home. He will give a little buzzing growl if he thinks another dog is taking his spot on a bed, and he has been respected by the other dogs. He isn’t much of a toy-lover, but he will chase a ball happily outside, but not bring it back. Quixote doesn’t have much experience on a leash, but he has fun outside, and is doing pretty well with his house-training. Click HERE for his profile. Why not fill out an adoption application while there!
This cutie is 12 pounds, has a beautiful, thick, dark coat that his foster mom likens to a wooly mammoth. She says that his coat is super thick with both harsh, black outer coat and wheaten soft undercoat. He has a mellow energy, is very easy to have around, enjoys being groomed and getting personal attention. His tail is in constant motion when you talk to him. Quixote loves life now that he has been rescued from “a mill that had over 300 dogs.” (Although he is in Missouri, you don’t have to be! Col. Potter Cairn Rescue will assist you in finding a way to transport him to your home town). Please, make this his best Valentine’s Day yet!
We are part of the Tuesdays Tails Blog Hop hosted by Dogs N Paws. You can also post about a dog or cat or other animal who needs a home. Why not hop over there and see if there is a wonderful companion animal who you might want to bring home! Thanks to Dogs N Pawz for hosting!
