I must say, Mom has been acting strange since I had my two teeth out. I’ve been recovering, and enjoying being served soft kibble with wet food in it. I love my treats being softened, and even my baby carrots. A little banana here, a little apple sauce there. It really aint bad!! But mom just couldn’t forget that uncomfortable day when she wandered around in the neighborhood while I was “going under”. She found herself stumbling upon these unusual doorways again, but this time they were all in sepia.
Why, oh why, she wondered, were there not just shoes on the doors, but why was everything suddenly in sepia?
She returned home to find that even I was a sepia dog. I had my little closed-mouth whining face on as I whined like a ventriloquist for yet more treats. More and more treats. Mom kind of pleaded for me to not up the ante. There was a certain silence she needed. She had a vision of closing her eyes for a moment and when she opened them, I would be in color again, and those doors would have disappeared from consciousness.
