Not only is Tootles a charming, and adoptable Cairn Terrier, he also speaks! His foster mom says that he is “a really neat dog”. He uses growl language to tell you what he wants, or how he’s feeling. She describes him as great little dog who loves attention and sitting by or on his foster mom, or anyone else. When he first came into his foster home, he was frightened, but he has gained confidence, and is now adjusting very well. See his Intake Story HERE.
He loves and gets along well with everyone, and that includes, men, women and children! In the dog department, he and one of his foster brothers have gotten into some power struggles. There has been little fighting, and they keep a respectful distance. Tootles is a handsome, happy boy, is totally house-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He is being fostered in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. If you are interested in adopting him, Col. Potter Cairn Rescue will help you problem-solve about how to bring him to your town, as long as you don’t live in Siberia. See his profile HERE. Why not fill out an adoption application while there?
Yes, Tootles is a little older, at eight years old. The thing to remember is that little terriers live a long time. I had a little dog who lived until she was almost 18. Cairns have a lot of energy, and are quite tough little dogs. They endure! A slightly older dog has character, and coping skills. Tootles likes to follow his person around, and comment on things. He loves to sit really close and be an enthusiastic cuddle bug. Please consider adopting Tootles. He will improve your life, I promise.
