Adopt Katelyn, An Adorable Playful Cairn

Meet Katelyn, an adorable playful Cairn, and adopt her!  She is a a laid-back, happy young lady who loves to go on rides, play ball, get tummy rubs and watch tv with her foster mom.  Foster mom states that “she has settled in nicely and is a joy to have around. Even though she does fit in, she deserves to have her very own home.  She gets along well with a couple of other dogs in her foster home, but does not care for the very bossy female in the house”.

Hi! I'm adorable and fun-loving!

Katelyn came from a situation where her family grew too old to care for her, and surrendered her. She hadn’t been getting any exercise, and was being fed quite a lot. Luckily for her, her foster mom has been great in helping her to lose weight.  She has gone from 39 pounds (when she came to Col. Potter Cairn Rescue in October 2013) to 24.3. As treats, she gets frozen green beans. Foster mom says that  when she is ready to go to bed, (her crate),  she will stand in front of the freezer until she sees her foster mom  getting the green beans,  and then  Katelyn beats her back to the  crate.

You can see her profile, and why not fill out an adoption application while there.Katelyn is being fostered in Columbia, South Carolina, but Col. Potter Cairn Rescue will help you problem-solve around transporting her to your town, if you would like to adopt her.  She is seven years old.  I fell in love with her especially when I saw the video in which she is rolling around! Please consider bringing this loving pup into your home!

Katelyn has hypothyroidism, and is on medication for that. Whoever adopts this sweetheart will need to continue with her weight-loss program and continue her medication for her thyroid condition.
