Hi folks. This is Kavu, Livvie’s Colorado cousin, reporting from Colorado. We have had some major mischief here, and I believe I must inform you about it. My mom and dad and Livvie’s mom decided to take my sister Bristol and I to an enormous dog park nearby. The name of the dog park is Bear Creek Regional Park and Nature Center and it’s set in the foothills of Pikes Peak. Livvie’s mom couldn’t believe that the dog park is 25 acres! Can you? It includes a two- acre section for small dogs. There is also a stream, and part of the mischief began there.
If you look closely, you can see our dad in a green shirt, and he has Bristol on one side trying to pull him in one direction, and I am on the other side, yes, you guessed it, pulling in the opposite direction. None of the other humans in our family had arrived quite yet, and Bristol, who is 75 pounds and eight months old got away from us. I think I mentioned that the dog park is 25 acres? Poor dad. Well, we chased and chased all over looking for Bristol.
Finally we found her, but not after considerable discombobulation. We went back to the stream, and then our mom and Livvie’s mom arrived. They arrived just on time to see a Corgi notice Bristol’s mischief. Suddenly Bristol dad and I were being herded. It did help.
I know, the Corgi is leaving in this picture, but she had quickly gotten the situation under control. Soon after the Corgi exited, Bristol took a giant leap up onto Livvie’s mom and splattered her with mud. She was careful not to get any mud on her white pants, so I helped out, and dribbled a little mud on the cuff of one pant leg. She thanked me!
I don’t want you to get the wrong idea about us. We are highly trained dogs. Our dad has taught us many tricks, and we are very obedient at home (except for Bristol).
