Please consider adopting Bobbie Boy, a lovable Cairn. This adoring boy is a senior who is going on 13, but is affectionately called “Benjamin Button” by friends who have marveled at his regained vitality and zest for life over the past months. He is quiet, well-mannered and affectionate. He adores his daily walks, naps and keeping track of what his foster mom is up to at home. He gets so excited about the prospect of going for a walk that sometimes he he tries to stick his neck in his fosters brothers’ collars while waiting for his collar to be fastened.
Bobbie Boy was an owner surrender, and when he arrived at his foster home, he took a few nights to settle into the routine. By all reports, by the second week, he was scampering out the front door with his tail wagging, and joining with the resident Cairns to greet foster dad when he returned form work. He is also very good at letting you know when he has to potty.
He’s quiet and has a sweet nature, always enjoying having a human near by. He loves snuggling next to you on the couch or on your lap, and adores ear and neck rubs. Bobbie Boy sits on command, and doesn’t jump up on people. He obeys all commands. He follows his foster mom everywhere and watches every move she makes!
This little sweetheart is quite happy now, and runs and bounces across the yard and joins in the daily yard hunt for squirrels and rabbits, and is never alone. He has become more interested in other small dogs at the dog park. He watches the “youngsters” play. In recent weeks many people at the dog park have been commenting that he seems younger because he will bounce and dance with joy, and his hair is so soft. His foster mom observes that he is comfortable and happy in his foster home with his foster brothers, but would still like to have his very own forever mom or dad.
Bobbie Boy is being fostered in Langley, Washington. He has no travel restrictions. Col. Potter Cairn Rescue will help you problem-solve about how to get him to your town, if you would like to adopt him! Read his profile and fill out an adoption application while you are there!
Remember that these little terriers live long lives. I’ve recently come to know of a couple who lived past twenty years old! His foster mom says that he is “the perfect companion for the lucky person who may be missing that ‘certain something’ that comes with the company of a loyal, loving dog. Better apply now”!
We are participating in Tuesday’s Tales, a Blog Hop hosted by Dogs N Pawz We thank them and encourage you to post any companion animal there who needs a home.
Bobbie Boy is precious! Sharing.
Thanks! Yes he is. I think I would have about 14 dogs by now!
