Please adopt Nibs, a charming Cairn who has been through some rough times. (His rescue group is Col. Potter cairn Rescue Network) To understand this little guy, all one has to hear is that he arrived at his foster home full of love, but very frightened. His foster mom describes him at that time as “the sweetest, most loving and obedient Cairn.” You can read his Intake story here.
Just look at that face! This little bundle of personality has gained so much confidence that he does a happy dance when he sees the leashes to go for walks. He will now go up to strangers to greet them and wait to be petted. He has also met some strange dogs recently and did very well with them. His newly found confidence has also given him a chance to make best friends with the resident female Cairn. He is even ok at the groomer now. But his favorite thing is to play in the sprinkler, and you can watch his sprinkler video!
Nibs has so much personality and energy, that it’s hard to believe that he is eight years old. Actually for a Cairn that is quite young. They live long, energetic lives. He is learning how to play with toys, but could use a tutor! He loves car rides, and he loves playing in the yard.
Nibs is house-trained and knows several commands. His foster mom describes him as “a joy to foster.” You can see his profile on Col.Potter’s Available Cairns page. Why not fill out an adoption application while there. By the way, he is being fostered in Huntsville, Texas. If you would like to adopt him, Col. Potter will help you problem-solve about how to transport him to your town.
Nibs likes to lie down right beside you and get petted and have belly rubs. If you massage him he will grunt and groan with pleasure. It is very amusing. This little guy will love you and amuse you. You will be a fortunate human being to be able to adopt Nibs!
We are participating in Tuesday’s Tails BLog Hop hosted by Dogs N Pawz. We thank Dogs N Pawz, and encourage you to post any companion animal who needs a forever home!
