Please consider adopting Kimee, an adorable Cairn! She is in a foster home in Arizona through Col. Potter Cairn Rescue. Little Kimee is eight years old, and was an owner surrender when her family was moving out of state and could not take her with them. Her foster mom says, “behind her bangs, which I love, are the most intelligent eyes”. Kimee is loving, trusting and playful. As you can tell, she is fitting in well with her foster family. Please go to Col. Potter’s Available Cairns page to read her profile. While there, why not fill out an adoption application. Of note as well is that if you would like to adopt Kimee, Col. Potter will help you problem-solve about how to get her to your town.
Kimee’s foster mom feels that her name suits her, and she responds to it very well. She adds that Kimee has a ritual in the morning, which is: Eat, Go potty, Play ball. (And chase rabbits.) Her evening ritual is similar. In fact, any time she is in the mood she will bring you the ball and stare at you until you pick it up. Kimee is a smart little girl, and foster mom feels that training her is going to be easy. She does have a mind of her own, but what Cairn doesn’t? She has her own way of dong things (sounds like a friend of mine!). The thinking is that she will fit in nicely into your home if in the beginning you are not too strict.
Kimee has an allergy issue which is treated with special shampoo once a week. She is on a special diet of rabbit and sweet potato dry food, and takes a medication called Apoquel. She is not able to eat grains, chicken, beef, duck or fish. These treatments are predicted to be ongoing. Foster mom urges you to look beyond her allergy issues and see her warm and loving heart. She is the gentlest of dogs, and loves children, and apparently is irresistible . Kimee is beautiful, but a bit camera shy. Her little video is simply a statement by her that she would rather be the one taking the pictures! Many of us can relate! http://youtu.be/
We are joining Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop, hosted by Dogs N Pawz. We thank them for hosting and invite you to post any companion animal who needs a home. Remember, adopt, don’t shop!
I have no idea why this little angel doesn’t already have a home with 10 others sad that they didn’t get to adopt her. Someone bring this baby home for Christmas and love her forever.
My sentiments exactly!!
Kimmee is so cute! Sharing in hopes she finds a forever home soon!
Yes, I’m hoping for her!!!
