Meet Glinda, an adorable adoptable Cairn.
Although her situation was a sad one, she has settled into her foster home well, and is reported to be an extremely affectionate, happy little Cairn girl. Sadly for Glinda, her elderly human became ill and was no longer able to take care of her. Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network was able to come to her aid. She is now happily romping around in Michigan, waiting patiently for her forever home.
Her foster mom says that she is a sweet little girl who fits right in with the pack and is happy to be there. She’s perfectly content to take a nap at your side or jump up and go outside for a walk. She is very much a “people” dog and loves to both give and get attention. If you are looking for a loving companion, she will fit into your family. She loves to be with her human friends no matter what the activity. Her favorite activities besides sitting as close as she can to foster mom, are to ride in the car and take a walk. She loves activities, but most of all, she loves you. Probably she would enjoy a home where someone is around for at least part of the day. You can see her profile on the Col. Potter Adoptable Cairns Page. Please consider filling out an adoption application while you are there. Glinda probably needs to be adopted by someone near enough so that she doesn’t have to fly. Her age, and her alleged dislike of crates rules flying out. Don’t let her age stop you. Many small terriers like her live to be quite old. I’ve run into a few twenty year olds!
Foster mom says that Glinda is gorgeous, and also has a clean bill of health. Glinda is a senior, but you wouldn’t know it to watch her. She loves playing with the three resident Cairns in her foster home. She will join in the special games when foster dad tosses the toys in the air. She likes her favorite chewy toys but is happy to take a nap in one of the cozy beds too. She has found her outdoor doggy voice, inspired by squirrels. In her video on the available Cairns page, you can see her just daring the squirrels to come down from the tree. You can even see her in the classic stalking pose watching the squirrel under the bird feeder. Here is her “clearing the perimeter,” video.
Glinda is a sweet, happy affectionate cuddle bug of a girl. If you are looking for a cute little Cairn girl to be your bestie, Glinda says “It can be me”!
We are participating in Tuesday’s Tails Blog Hop, hosted by Dogs N Pawz. Feel free to post any companion animal who needs a home! Thanks to Dogs N Pawz!
There should be at least a dozen applications on this adorable baby. What a beautiful little girl. If I didn’t have 5 already she would be in my arms.
Yes, I agree. What a sweetie. I too am at my limit for dogs, but would take her in a flash.
She is precious! Sharing!
Thanks so much!
Glinda is precious! MaMA likes old, smelly, lethargic cats, though. Munchkin, MaMA and I have missed seeing your posts. We hope all is well.
Thanks! We are ok, just very busy. Will try to be more regular!
