as told by Livvie Rat Terrier
Mom thought it would be a perfect day for a peaceful walk in our magnificent Brooklyn park. It was a day of many surprises, one of which you have already heard about . (We had found an elfin boy in a mysterious tree). This tale also begins with trees.
We were drinking in the splendor of green around us. Mom thought it would be good to walk all the way around the gigantic lake, even if it meant that we might get lost. She said, “What are GPS systems for”? Kessie and I didn’t think twice about it, because we had no idea what she was talking about.
We spotted a nice shaded area that looked like a path into a group of trees. As we walked into the grove, we started to wonder about something .
We couldn’t be sure. We looked around, and looked at mom, who was silent, but clicking away, and couldn’t be pulled from the thinga-ma-bob that takes pictures.
Kessie enlisted the assistance of his semaphore ears, hoping to gain some clarity.
“Holy elephant toenails Livvie”! he barked, giving me a clue.
Really?
Oh no! Here she comes!
AAAAiiieeeee!
An elephant foot in Brooklyn! Runnnn!!!!!
