Ok. I have to admit, I love these charming, affectionate, engaging Cairns that Col. Potter Cairn Rescue always tells me about. Sure, I am a sucker for sweet faces and wagging tails. Who can resist a little pup who has come through adversity and still wants you to hold her in your arms like a baby? But really. This week’s featured Cairn is just too much. I sat here trying to figure out how in the world I could adopt Corkie, whose foster mother describes her as “a treasure” and says that she makes you feel like the most important person in the world. There she is in Ohio, having been swooped up out of a terrible situation that was about to end either in being PTS or dumped into a shelter. But she makes the people feel good about themselves!! Of course, we know this about dogs, but here is this 8 year old 14 pound wheaten colored girl who just comes in and steals everyones’ hearts. She loves people and is fine with her Cairn foster siblings. She loves to take walks, get belly rubs, sit near you on the couch. She is described as a happy, easy dog. She just needs eye drops daily because of having had a chronic dry eye issue neglected for many years. Her hearing and sense of smell are super strong, and she gets around fine. She even goes up and down a carpeted full flight of stairs. Please, adopt her for me!!
So please go see her profile and fill out an application. Col. Potter is a super wonderful group, and they will transport, so you don’t have to be in Ohio. Go to the following to see her profile:
