I did a story a while back on Matilda’s transportation issues. She is a big dog, and had to go to the vet at least once a week for over six months. (She was getting chemotherapy for Lymphoma, and is now in remission). She had developed a bit of a phobia of cars, and after I would lift her into a car service, she would not lie down. That left her standing up, panting like crazy, with me sitting in front of her, twisting around toward her and lifting my arms up to hold her so that she wouldn’t fall off the seat and into the footwells. Yikes! Extremely stressful.
When I found Pet Taxi New York, it was nearly life-saving. The owner figured a way to configure the minivan so that Matilda had a little area to lie down, and I could sit on the seat right behind her. I would also bring her favorite comforter and spread it out for her. Even more amazing is that he would very gently lift Matilda into the minivan. In fact, one time when we were bringing her home after a set-back and hospitalization, Matilda was very weak, and the owner carried her all the way in to the elevator. I wasn’t sure that Matilda could have made it. Matilda also loves the owner and other drivers. Everyone is especially nice and very supportive. They are all dog people and adore dogs.
Disclaimer: I am writing this review because I like the business so much, and did not receive any payment for it.
I highly recommend Pet Taxi New York.
