Matilda is slowing down. This is natural. Her gait is a bit wobbly at times. One of her back paws might falter and knuckle under every so often. She wears a little sock on one paw to protect her toes. She appears to take it in stride. I still find myself being pulled to grassy areas so Matilda can sniff every molecule. People and dogs are still her favorites. She lifts her head to meet the eyes of anyone walking toward her. People are drawn to her. The sweetness is palpable. We all grow older if we are given the time. Matilda shows us how it is done with grace.
