I feel sorry for anyone who cannot or is not able to adopt this dog. He looks a lot like my childhood dog, and his personality is about as sweet as they come. His name is Corona, and someone abandoned him at a Firehouse in Corona, Queens. He’s between seven and ten years old, and deaf. He has a clean bill of health. He’s completely laid- back and friendly, in the gentlest way. Corona has no startle response, and his main goal in life is to hang out with you and your friends or family . He also seems to enjoy walks, and is quite the spry boy. Although he doesn’t seem to know sign language yet, if you adopt him, you can join the amazing group of people who are teaching their beloved deaf dogs sign language. If you don’t believe me, go to this website: Deaf Dogs Rock. He went out on the adoption van today, and seemed a little forlorn when he realized that he had to back in his cage at the shelter. I watched him from a distance, my heart sinking, wanting so badly for him to be cuddling with his new person (you?)….
I know I am thankful to those Firehouse people for bringing him to Sean Casey:
