This nine year old wheaten-colored girl is sweet and quiet. Having been adopted from a shelter at five years old, her people recently experienced obstacles that made them need to return her . Poor little Shaila did not adjust well to the shelter environment, but Col. Potter Cairn Rescue swooped in and now she is in a wonderful foster home in Washington state. (Col. Potter rescue will transport the dog to wherever you are….well, maybe not Siberia).

Her foster mom adores her, and chronicles her enormous progress. You can see this on her profile:  http://adopt.cairnrescue.com/index.php#6211, where you can also fill out an adoption application.  When she was rescued in March, she was timid, but has learned to love being petted, and recently she put her cute little feet on foster mom’s leg to ask for attention. (see her Intake Story at: http://cairnrescue.blogspot.com/2013/03/welcome-shaila-cps-newest-sweetie.html). She is already good with other dogs, house-broken, and in perfect health. Her energy level is great, and she can out walk you! Her leash walking is terrific. Here is a video of Shaila playing with a toy for the first time:   http://youtu.be/OjxEThstdBO

These little guys live long lives, so her age should not be a barrier. So, please, go to the site (listed above with her profile), check her out, and fill out an application! This a terrific rescue group, and Cairns are special, amazing pups!
